About Coach Chris- 2nd year
Coach Chris has a true love for the game. She played all four years in high school formally as a middle and outside hitter. At CMSU she was trained to play all positions including rightside hitter/setter. Chirstina has received several awards as a player including all-conference. Coach Chris feels that the training she received from Hall-o-fame coach Peggy Martin should be passed on or "paid forward". She has been volunteer coaching at interscholastic schools this year and is excited to start coaching with the full support of the HEAT behind her! She wants players to learn the fundamentals of the game and become true assets to the team, any team. She just has the true passion and love for the game to teach. Those who CAN, TEACH!!! Welcome to the Heat!!! Last Season Chris stepped up and coached two of southern elites 13's teams. Both teams had HUGE success under her leadership. Her teams achieved 7 gold finsihes, 1 silver finish and 144 game victories!!! A true asset to Southern Elite. This year Coach Chris will focus all those skills on one team, our 13-select team. About Coach Sarah Sanders - 1st year
Sarah has played volleyball for over 10 years. She played all through high school for Ray-Pec and coached for 5 years for Southland VBC. She has also volunteered her time with the local parks and recreational teams. When she isn't watching the Saint's play she enjoys coaching youth volleyball tournaments. Sarah is very excited to get back into the sport she has loved most her life and pass along some of her knowledge to our new generation of players. Sarah has been coaching and training with our skills clinics over the fall and will be assisting Coach Chris with our 13 select team for the 2011-2012 season. Welcome to the heat!!
